Learn more about careers within the Obesity Therapy Area, and meet our fantastic colleagues right here: [ https://www.novonordisk.com/obesity-therapy-careers ] Let’s change the story for people living with obesity (Video – 1 min 30secs) The position As a Senior Manager, Business Partnership Management, you will contribute to the realization of our mission: “Establish Obesity Disease as a disease that requires medical intervention and provide people with Obesity Disease in Japan with new, innovative and effective treatments and treatment environment” by contributing as a market development team member. You will support leading the development of the obesity market in Japan through exploration and implementation of innovative approaches in private and public sector, anchored in patient needs, in collaboration with other functions (Comms, public affairs, medical, local market access, etc.) while managing compliance and reputational risks – focusing mostly on diagnosis and treatment pillars of patient journey. Other tasks include, but are not limited to: Be responsible for helping grow the obesity business by finding new opportunities/leads/key projects, establishing relationships with potential new clients, developing new plans and accounts, and driving strategic opportunities and partnerships for our business. Support to analyze, identify and communicate areas of opportunity for business growth with short or mid-term strategic focus。 Influence key decision makers by explaining the incentive and value of developing obesity services with inclusion of the Novo Nordisk obesity portfolio. Patient focus: leads in developing a deeper understanding of Obesity as a chronic disease, be passionate about driving increased standards for patient care in Obesity and leads development and drives patient pull-through for Diagnosis and Treatment pillars of the patient journey. Qualifications Must have a minimum bachelor’s degree (in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, or other relevant fields). Master’s degree in business preferred with training in different disciplines related to sales & marketing. Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical/healthcare, consumer goods or regulated industry business development/partnering experience managing Health Care Professionals (HCPs), patients and public. (Knowledge about local healthcare system and experience in alliance management is a plus.) Working knowledge of contracts and contract negotiations. Experience within retail, private market, pharmacies or FMCG would be a plus. Strong business acumen including the ability to evaluate the return of investment of tactics and new sales channels (both private and public as well as online and offline). Highly prefer innovative and flexible mindset to challenge the status quo and try new ways. Fluency in Japanese and business level English is required.
