Job Title: Coordinator of Religious Education Location: Okinawa, Japan Duties: Shall be responsible for r general coordination and enhancement of religious education programs and events. Must plan, resource, and execute the annual Vacation Bible School for the specified religious service. Coordinate activities with the individual(s) responsible for other programs and events. Recruit, train, assign, and supervise teachers and volunteers in the Religious Education Program. Must play keyboard/piano based on the music selected by the specified service Music Director and Service Chaplain for the scheduled religious services. Review all religious education schedules and settle or propose how to settle scheduling conflicts. Recruit, train, assign, and supervise all teachers and volunteers. Provide a list of specified volunteers, for religious education ministries the coordinator directly oversees. Assist teachers to become trained and certified by the AMS. Organize and/or assist in Sacramental Preparation Programs in conjunction with the Catholic Chaplain and Religious Education Catechists; prepares, coordinates, and transmits all sacramental records for the Archdiocese of Military Service. Requirements: Shall have a High School diploma, GED Certificate. Must have a minimum of one year of experience. Must be proficient at playing an instrument (piano/organ) and must be able to read music. Be a certified Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) Catechist or provide documentation of enrollment in the AMS certification process. Powered by JazzHR
