About the Role: The role is responsible for driving and leading the Trade marketing in Japan, developing and implementing a shopper strategy for Japan Market and Categories, aligned with Brand strategy, channel and customer insight and deep understanding of local customer partnerships in providing tools and means to activate Ferrero Category strategies at the point of sale. The position is in charge of developing and implementing a Channel strategy approach with primary focus on e-commerce development, leveraging on deep digital capabilities and strong channel understanding for all new future strategic development. Main Responsibilities: Develop effective medium- and long-term local strategies for category / channel, manage planning in line with the Ferrero Group guidelines Support the definition of the assigned channel strategy for each category for the country, in alignment with brand strategy and relevant company policies Coordinate the development and implementation of all the relevant key projects for Japan (new categories, new channels, future potential, new tools deployment, etc) and identify the axes of development for future Japan market growth Monitor and analyze trade, competitors and shopper market data related for channel / category to identify business opportunities and develop trade marketing plans Support the definition of sales strategies (assortment, trade investment, etc.) at channel / account level with the objective to maximize the business development and profitability, execute channel / customer performance and potential analysis Translate marketing plans to specific channel / customer plans (session plans, promotion, etc.) in line with retailers' needs, develop and implement cross brand / category integrated programs Provide the sales team with team effective and relevant information about products, promotional activities, and display materials and share the best tools and means required for the implementation of the marketing strategy at the point of sale Develop sales promotion and activation plan with the implementation of trade marketing initiatives at channel/store level on the basis of the needs collected by the trade / distribution channel Track key activity performance ensuring Company guidelines and timelines are met Ensure the implementation of “on Point of Sales” activities (e.g. promotions, placement, POP material, Point of Sales (POS) animation etc.) Develop field force supporting tools (e.g. catalogues), coordinate information flows between marketing and sales Coordinate eCommerce strategy implementation in the market, ensuring sales volume achievement Manage the shopper activation for eCommerce channel, in line with sales strategy and marketing plans Define and implement the e-portfolio, manage platform activation, promotional campaign Assess eCommerce potential in the relevant channels defining Ferrero fair share and targets, review market positions and recommend product needs to meet sales objectives, consistently with brand positioning Continuously monitor the eCommerce marketplace to determine possible market opportunities Work closely with marketing team to assure the best eContent strategy and continually improve optimal eContent on the retail sites to improve conversion Provide the ongoing evaluation and sharing of market/channel best-practice with sales and marketing teams Who we are looking for: University degree in the relevant field, business/marketing discipline preferred Relevant professional experience in Trade Marketing and related fields, in FMCG MNC environment Strong market knowledge: Modern Trade, Impulse Channel, eCommerce, Channel & Customer planning, Point of Sales materials Advanced direct and distributor management, with good knowledge of sales, field and merchandising processes Strong strategic thinking, analytical and project management skills Proactivity, accountability, resilience, dynamism and self-motivation, growth mindset, time management Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, result-orientation Fluency in English and Japanese, written and spoken Advanced MS Office skills How to be successful in the role and at Ferrero: Consumers, quality and care are at the heart of everything we do.
