>>>Winter 2024/2025 Seasonal PositionPOSITION NBS Retail/Rental Technician - Niseko KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Impeccable customer service Accurate set up of rental ski/ boards Boot Fitting Clothing, Helmet & Accessory fitting General maintenance of rental fleet/ equipment Retail Sales Cash/ Credit processing & balancing Assisting with all NBS operations, including Snow Sports School, Kids Club Snow Clearing & store presentation maintenance Answering telephone, email and in house guest inquiries Promoting other SkiJapan.com & NBS services Providing guests with key local information & assistance Being a reliable local contact for guests during their stay Promoting tours/activities such as snowmobiling & cultural tours Assisting Hotel Operations when necessary (rubbish removal and basic cleaning/ maintenance) Occasionally acting as a host for our guests on cultural tours PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:One of below experience helps our team Personal customer service experience (face-to-face) Travel/tourism experience Outdoor education or activity guiding Resort/seasonal work experience Ski or Snowboard experience Cash/ Credit Card Processing/ Handling Computerised rental system experience such as Easy Rent, In-Touch, Sports Rental, RTP etc. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: Energetic, confident, can- do attitude Genuine passion for assisting people Mature, flexible approach with the ability to adapt to any situation Punctual, reliable, very organised and well presented Ability to work long hours and multi task Show initiative, with ability to think on your feet LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: English is a must Japanese/ Chinese/ English bilingual applicants are preferred, but not essential SKI/ SNOWBOARD ABILITY: You don’t NEED to be a red hot rider, but at minimum a moderate ski/ snowboard ability is required as it directly relates to experience & product knowledge. DRIVING LICENSEMust have one of below license Driving license issued from Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Monaco, Taiwan. International Driving Permit (IDP) VISA: Must have or be eligible for a Working Holiday Visa or meet the requirements for a Sponsored working visa. REMUNERATION PACKAGE: Hourly rates will be discussed at interview End of season bonus upon contract completion and meeting of requirements Discounted season lift pass Reimbursement of season lift pass upon contract completion and meeting of requirements Subsidised staff accommodation available EMPLOYMENT DATES: 25th November 2024 – 31st March 2025 (Full Season) 25th November 2024 – 28th February 2025 (Short-Term) As with any seasonal work, hours and dates of work are snow and customer dependent. Please understand that you are required to be flexible with work dates and hours. Start date and end date can be discussed at interview. We can be flexible. WORKING HOURS: Full time, 5 x days per week Average of 35 - 40 hours per week during peak season. This kind of work is obviously snow & customer dependent, so you should expect to work reduced hours during the first and last few weeks of the season.
