Job Title: Physical Therapist Location: Misawa, Aomori Duties: Patient Care. Shall perform services in the following patient care areas: Physical Therapy Clinic, (Outpatient) Medical-Surgical Unit (Inpatient) Shall prepare all medical documentation to meet or exceed the standards required of the MTF, applicable AFIs and TJC guidelines. Only approved abbreviations shall be used for documentation of care in the health care record. The DoD’s electronic medical record systems, to include AHLTA, shall be used for all patient encounters. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and ability to become proficient in the use of the following computer systems: Composite Health Care Systems (CHCS) – Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), Aeromedical Services Information Management System (ASIMS), Individual Medical Readiness (PIMR), and the new military electronic health care system when it becomes available. Non-US citizen are required to have a valid Japanese working VISA. Education & Qualifications: Graduate of a Masters or Doctoral level degree program in Physical Therapy from a college of Physical Therapy accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) recognized by the U.S. Minimum of two (2) year work experience as a licensed Physical Therapist in an outpatient clinical setting within the last five (5) years. Possess and maintain an active; current; valid; and unrestricted license from a U.S. jurisdiction, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands and applicable Board Certification as a licensed Physical Therapist (PT). Orthopedic work experience preferred. Defined per the American Physical Therapy Association as “the prevention of disability and the physical rehabilitation of persons with disability resulting from dysfunction of the musculoskeletal system and its related neurovascular components”. Maintenance of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory. Powered by JazzHR
