Job Title: Coordinator of Religious Education Location: JPN Travel: N/A Duties: Recruit, train, assign, and supervise teachers and volunteers in the Roman Catholic Religious Education Program. Assist teachers to become trained and certified by the AMS. Provide timely submission and follow up on necessary paperwork for the procurement of supplies, literature and curriculum needed for the program. Schedule facilities with enlisted chapel personnel to support religious education programs. Arrange for audiovisual and other equipment as needed. Ensure accurate records of attendance are maintained. Maintain Sacramental Record. Coordinate Confirmation retreat. Provide communication and information flow with teachers, parents and families of the students, including a program family handbook with a calendar of events, weekly Catholic bulletin announcements, Parent Teacher meetings and a Parent Preparation Meeting for parents of children receiving Sacraments. Coordinate student programs and activities, including but not limited to; supporting a Vacation Bible School program , keeping the DRE informed of the status of programs, future scheduling, and any problems that may arise. Attend regularly scheduled base chapel staff meetings and other meetings as required. ยท Education/Experience: Possess a Letter of Recommendation from a Roman Catholic Chaplain stating that he/she is an active practicing member of the Roman Catholic community.
